Emily Logan, Chief Commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission receives an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) from NUI Maynooth

Emily Logan, Chief Commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission today received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) from NUI Maynooth.

Emily Logan was recommended by members of academic staff at NUI Maynooth in recognition of her outstanding contribution to public life and human rights and equality.

She received her doctorate from the President of the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Philip Nolan.

The citation for the ceremony was delivered by Maurice Devlin, Jean Monnet Professor at NUI Maynooth.

NUI Maynooth awards a small number of individuals who have distinguished themselves in various walks of life and who, in the view of the university community, deserve very special and particular recognition.
