Selected Issues in Equality Case Law 2008-2011

“Selected Issues in Irish Equality Case Law 2008-2011” will be launched by Mr. Alan Shatter T.D. Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence at the offices of the Equality Authority, 2 Clonmel Street, Dublin on Monday 4th February at 11.30.

The Equality Authority commissioned David Fennelly BL to examine key issues in the effectiveness of the Equal Status Acts before the Courts over a four year period. Issues examined include the jurisdiction of the Equality Tribunal, the assessment of the burden of proof in discrimination claims, evolving case law, equality legislation before the courts. This is a very valuable resource for anybody working with the equality legislation and a useful reference point for those interested in analysis of trends, outcomes and impact of the Equal Status Acts during these years.
