Cad a tharlóidh má éiríonn leat nó má theipeann ort sa Choimisiún um Chaidreamh san Ionad Oibre?

If you succeed

An adjudication officer can order compensation of up to €15,000 This is the same as the maximum amount that the District Court can award in civil cases. The adjudication officer can also order that the service provider has to do something aimed at ensuring that similar discrimination does not happen again. For example, they can order that a shop owner provides customer care training to staff.

If the service provider does not carry out the order or settlement, the District Court can enforce it.

If you fail

You can appeal to the Circuit Court.  You have to do this within 42 days of the adjudication officer making the decision.

You can find out more by contacting the Workplace Relations Commission.
