IHRC delegation meets Inter-Departmental Gender Recognition Advisory Group on need for law reform
An IHRC delegation today met with the Chair of the Inter-Departmental Gender Recognition Advisory Group, Mr Oliver Ryan, to discuss its recent submission to the Advisory Group.
The IHRC delegation discussed the scope of proposed legislation on gender recognition and the steps needed to bring the State into line with its obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
This meeting was one of a number of meetings with interested parties hosted by the Advisory Group as part of its consultation process.
