Minister of State Mary White Launches New Irish Human Rights Commission Website

Minister of State Mary White today launched the Irish Human Rights Commission’s (IHRC) new website during a visit to the IHRC’s offices in Jervis Street, Dublin.

Dr Maurice Manning, President of the IHRC said, "We are delighted to launch the new Irish Human Rights Commission website and we are particularly pleased that Minister Mary White is here today for this launch." He continued "Our new website will provide an accessible and useful tool for those seeking information about their rights in Ireland, as well as information about the mandate and work of the Commission. We look forward to continuing the process of developing this site over the coming years to ensure it is a key source of human rights information for people in Ireland."

Mr Éamonn Mac Aodha, Chief Executive of the IHRC said "Particularly in straitened times when we have cut back almost entirely on hard-copy publications, this new site will allow us to provide easy access to all of our work in electronic format." He continued "The website will also allow people to access information on their rights and to locate information on how to ask for help. It will also assist those seeking to apply for internship and professional placement positions with the Commission."

The IHRC’s website is accessible at www.ihrc.ie
