The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (designate) welcomes the publication today of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Bill (IHREC Bill) 2014 by Mr Alan Shatter TD, Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence.
Mr Kieran Rose, Member of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (designate) said: “The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (designate) very much welcome the publication of the IHREC Bill 2014 and we look forward to the early recruitment of the Chief Commissioner now that the draft legislation has been published. We will examine the provisions of the IHREC Bill, provide observations on it and look forward its early consideration by the Oireachtas.”
