Building Accessibility

The office of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is located on 16-22 Green Street Dublin 7. The eircode is D07 CR20 and a map of the location is available here.

There are two accessible parking spaces on Green Street, directly outside the entrance to the Commission. These are free to use with a valid parking permit which is clearly displayed. For more information, see the Dublin City Council webpage.

There is paid, on-street parking available on Green Street also, however there are limited spaces available. The closest bus stop (route 83) is a 5 minute walk away on Church St.

The Commission occupies three floors of the building. The ground floor / reception and first and third floors. The first and third floors are accessible by a lift.

A fully accessible Changing Places toilet facility is available on the ground floor. The facility gives more space and appropriate equipment for people who need the help of a carer to undertake their personal hygiene safely and comfortably. For detailed information about the features and usage of the facility, see our Changing Places webpage.

There are accessible toilets on all floors

Our aim is to provide an inclusive and welcoming events space for all. In order to make our events as accessible as possible please let us know if you have specific requirements (dietary, medical, assistive technologies or any other personal requirements) and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The Commission’s event space is located on the ground floor of the building and is fully wheelchair accessible.

There is an induction loop system in place in the auditorium. Please let us know in advance if you are attending an event and require the use of the loop.

We have ISL interpreters available for most large events organised by the Commission. Please let us know in advance if you are attending an event and require ISL interpreter.

Seating arrangements in the auditorium can be adapted to allow sufficient space for wheelchair users.
