Protected Disclosures Annual Reports
As a public body, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is required under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 (as amended by the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022) to publish an Protected Disclosures annual report in relation to the number of protected disclosures made to it in the preceding year, and the action taken in response to any such protected disclosures.
As a public body, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is required under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014 (as amended by the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022) to publish an annual report in relation to the number of protected disclosures made to it in the preceding year, and the action taken in response to any such protected disclosures.
Pursuant to this requirement, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission confirms that no reports were received and /or are under investigation in accordance with the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014 (as amended by the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022) from 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023.

As a public body, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is required under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 to publish an annual report in relation to the number of protected disclosures made to it in the preceding year, and the action taken in response to any such protected disclosures.
Pursuant to this requirement, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission confirms that no reports were received and /or are under investigation in accordance with the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014 from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016.
As a public body, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is required under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 to publish an annual report in relation to the number of protected disclosures made to it in the preceding year, and the action taken in response to any such protected disclosures.
Pursuant to this requirement, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission confirms that one protected disclosure was made to the Commission in the period 1st January 2015 to 31st December 2015.
The Chief Commissioner was briefed in relation to the protected disclosure, and a Commission solicitor met with the individual concerned with a view to discussing the issues raised. Thereafter counsel was instructed with a view to providing advice in respect of the subject matter of the protected disclosure, and a summary of these advices was furnished to the Chief Commissioner and the Director.
