One of our roles is to promote understanding and awareness of the importance of human rights and equality. Since 2019, we have done this by running public awareness campaigns using the theme All Human, All Equal.
We have run four campaigns under this theme:
- Because we’re all human. Means we’re all equal.
- All Against Racism
- Care about Equality
- For Equality in Ageing
How do you decide what your campaigns should be about?
Our campaigns are shaped by the participation of, and consultation with people affected by the issues we highlight.
The Commission decides the topic of each campaign. Then we then put together a diverse advisory group with different perspectives to shape the campaign. These people have expertise through lived experience, activism, advocacy, formal training, or other experiences.
This group inputs on everything from who should be involved to where the ads are shown.
All of our campaigns feature real people talking about real issues. None of our campaigns are scripted. All participants are giving their personal experiences and opinions.
Because we’re all human. Means we’re all equal.
