Policy statement on Article 41.2 of the Constitution of Ireland

In this statement the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission sets out a summary of equality and human rights concerns with respect to Article 41.2 and suggests how these might be addressed.

Issues considered include: Gender stereotyping; Recognition of care work; Previous proposals on Article 41.2; and Approaches to reform, focusing on the concept of family life, and recognising and supporting care work.
