With funding from the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC), Amal Women Ireland carried out research into the experiences of Muslim women accessing employment and progressing in their careers in Ireland.
The research brings attention to the real barriers women face, including discrimination, negative stereotypes, the impact of wearing the hijab, and the combined effects of gender, religion, ethnicity and migration status.
By listening directly to Muslim women and engaging with employers and community organisations, the research provides a clearer picture of these challenges and offers practical recommendations to help create fairer and more inclusive workplaces in Ireland.
