Assistant Director General, Paul Morrin, is responsible for developing and coordinating the CSO's Statistical System Coordination work programme; promoting and building an awareness and acceptance of the CSO's role across the public service; secondment of analytics staff to the public service and developing structures to formalise the coordination role. These initiatives are part of the evolving National Data Infrastructure, which has standards, skills and services components. This directorate is also responsible for the production of customised policy and multidimensional publications, CSO data/quality management and researcher access to microdata. As part of this service, the directorate was involved in the development of the Equality Data Strategy. Paul holds an undergraduate degree, MSc and PhD in Economics, and has been working in CSO for 32 years, including a period of 13 years on secondment to the Department of Social Protection.
