The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) today announced the 25 organisations awarded funding in the inaugural Human Rights and Equality Grants Scheme 2016. The grant scheme was established by the Commission to provide financial assistance to bodies to carry out activities to promote human rights and equality.
Almost 300 applications were received and of those, 25 organisations were awarded grants across three strands of funding:
- Six organisations awarded up to €4,000 for Collaboration and Dissemination
- Nine organisations awarded up to €6,000 for Capacity Building
- Ten organisations awarded up to €20,0000 for Project Implementation
