The Commission, as Irelands’ Independent National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings, report to the Council of Europe Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA), in response to the fourth evaluation round of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings.

This evaluation questionnaire focused on vulnerabilities to human trafficking and the measures taken by Ireland to prevent them, detect and support vulnerable victims, and punish the offenders. This included a focus on the use of ICT which changes the way offenders operate and exacerbates existing vulnerabilities. It also includes a section on follow up to GRETA’s previous recommendations to Ireland.

This submission builds on and complements previous responses, highlighting the main developments in Ireland’s anti-trafficking response from 2022 to present.
