IHREC made a submission to the European Commission as part of the 2025 European Semester process. We emphasise the importance of ensuring that equality and human rights underpin Ireland’s economic and social policy landscape and developments. Our submission highlights issues that we consider that the European Commission should address in the country-specific recommendations to Ireland: equality budgeting, policy frameworks, climate action, poverty, and the transposition and implementation of EU legislation.
