Noeline Blackwell is a human rights lawyer and campaigner. Currently working on children’s rights online with the Children’s Rights Alliance, she has previously worked on victim’s rights,  against domestic, sexual and gender based violence and on immigration and asylum rights and access to justice. She has also worked as a solicitor in general practice.

She is a Commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission and chairs its Casework Committee. She is a board member of the Press Council of Ireland, the Open Doors Initiative and of Community Foundation Ireland. 

She is an Adjunct Full Professor at the School of Law at University College Dublin and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates by University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
