Dr Aidan Flegg is a Policy Manager at the Modern Slavery and Human Rights Policy and Evidence Centre led by the University of Oxford. He is an expert in economic, social and cultural human rights law and policy and has worked over the past decade to bridge the theory of human rights with public policy and practice in the UK. Aidan completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow and has worked in different roles across the Scottish Government on human rights incorporation. He has also held numerous research positions in academia and has provided consultancy services to leading human rights organisations throughout the UK. Aidan will be presenting at the conference in his personal and academic capacity on his work as a consultant developing a guide to equality and human rights budgeting.
